The pictures are a little distracting. You have to turn to the back to read the captions and there are times when the photo ha nothing to do with what is being described on the page. I am enjoying learning about Angel's life before Wwe and his journey to the Olympics. I was to see that you get a behind the scenes look at the life of a pro wrestler and it's not all in character.

This book is a beast! So many words and so many interweaving characters. This is a mental workout. We will see if the ending has a good payoff for all this buildup.

A fun read so far. There is so many cool stories that happen behind the scenes in pro wrestling. It is definitely a life style. I enjoy the short entries organized around themes. Even the introductions to the chapters are good. I would like sine colored pics and sometimes the pic had little to do with story.

Amazing. I want to underline each word. Truly powerful stuff. This is making me so excited for Holy Week and Easter. This is an amazing collection of excerpts of Martin Luther's Easter Sermons and they are paired with wood prints of the Bible Stories. This is a must have for all fans of Luther.

Wow! So this happened. It's so bad that it is okay.

Some thoughts: Compared to the previous work of Root, this is much more academic. This work takes the themes laid out in his previous writings and takes them into the realm of practical theology. This becomes mind blowing because practical theology emphasizes human action, but Root's emphasis on theology of the cross focuses on divine action.

I am really enjoying the sections written by his wife. The short sections provide a layer of humanity in the midst of stories of war.

Some notes so far: I have not read the other two books from Jericho. I enjoy the behind the scenes look at the in ring feuds the best. This does give a good account to stories of the life on the road but I think it could use some stories about his home life. The use of parentheses was funny through the first quarter of the book, but it is starting to get lame.

Hill is doing a good job creating doubt and suspicion for the main characters. I really don't know who's crazy or what to believe. It is a great ride. I'm looking forward to the last part of the book.

Notes so far: There is enough here that could have been split into a nice trilogy, but how many horror novel trilogies are there? Good value for one book. Nice mental imaging. Again Hill uses relationships to tell a story; the horror elements are a bonus.

Pace of the story slowed way down at start of book 2. Hopeful there will be a good reason for the transition.

Have been surprised how much I am enjoying this. Usually movie properties don't translate well to comics, but it has been holding interstate. I finished the first four stories and like all except death valley. Pretty lame story telling on that one.

Finished the first story. Wicked twist to the story. Loved the story telling devices employed.

I don't know if I should laugh or cry.

Loads of good stuff in a short book. I am imagine I will have to reread it sometime to fully appreciate the consequences of this book. The media is the message.

Too much background. Finally half way through we talking about philosophy.

Yay I got the pictures. The before and after photos are incredible. I look forward to visiting the museum.

So much going on this book. I thought the book was going to be all about a natural disaster, but there is so much more the story. I am enjoying the maps and the information on the mountains.
