Somebody please remind me next time I get it in my head to read this book that it is absolute emotional destruction. Unless I want to feel like a nuclear bomb just went off in my amygdala I need to stay far far away from this book, and all its adaptations. Tom Hardy's scream in the 2009 adaptation just shatters me every time I hear it, its haunting.
