Mikel is starting Indigenous Continent: The Epic Contest for North America
"...an era shaped by warfare above all." Hmmm, if he is willing to include Native American vs Native American warfare in this statement then I will concede the point. Otherwise . . . the numbers don't work out.

Mikel is 57% done with Keynes Hayek: The Clash that Defined Modern Economics
So far, the book has been a thinly veiled love letter to Keynes. Hayek has primarily been written about in dismissive verbiage. It will be interesting to see if that changes in the last half of the book.

Mikel is on page 20 of 397 of Not Stolen: The Truth About European Colonialism in the New World
In world where the only books being published comb through thousands of pages in the National Archives and the U.S. Department of the Interior to highlight only the most questionable transactions with native tribes, I am happy to find an author writing about the thousands of pages ignored by other authors.

The author has made his preference of Keynes obvious. In fact, the more the author subtly derides Hayek the less confident I am in this being an even handed analysis of the two men and their economics. I will be surprised if the author ends with Hayek's theory beating Keynes.

Mikel is 40% done with Guns, Germs, and Steel: The Fates of Human Societies
He's writing about "Darwin's great book the Descent of Man". Ummm.... it's like he's being wilfully ignorant or how that book has been used to justify all kinds of atrocities.
