Attention authors... if you're gonna have a book 50 years in the future... don't keep using current pop stars... if TSwift is touring 50 years in the future and Olive Garden is still a thing, I want off this timeline.

When did fucking white socks become "slutty"?? They're SOCKS dude. And I am being monologed to death.. Ant is either a REALLY bad dom, or this author has no regard for establishing safe power exchange and aftercare.

How in the crispy fried fuck did this book get THAT many good reviews?? Am I being punked? Do I have a different book? This is like watching a train wreck... just to see how bad it's gonna be...

I just hit Part 2 and already feel like Ive been theough a fucking battle... holy hell what a book so far!!

Why are important things like the START of a relationship happening off page?? I don't care if they are just hooking up... you start us off MONTHS into a pushing buttons hook up situation and we don't get any of that tension?? I call absolute bullshit.

I'm sorry, what the fuck is up with all the "ears perking up"???? Are they animals?? Do other humans have the ability to move their ears to where it is noticeable for people to take note?? Is this yet another superpower that I don't have??

Mixed Motives: 2.75☆ i feel like I've read that exact opening scene before... like I'm positive I've read that series of events of a brokenhearted guy showing up on his ex's dad's porch wearing very little to seduce him.

Meat Cute: 3.5☆ love rugby guys and I appreciated the blurb at the beginning. Sev was on thin ice for a bit, but that helped softed the side eye from him being a jerk over Rhys' stutter. Suspend belief that an entire team in Texas of all places would be filled with nothing but allies.

The shape of the hearts desire: 2.25☆ i was just BORED. The former student/former teacher didn't bother me half as much as I thought. I liked that at least enough time had passed to not be a jailbait kind of situation.. but I'm happy there wasn't any more time spent dwelling on how Paisley had a crush at 15.. because that WAS squick territory... but I was just not into this one at all.

Love in bloom: 4.5☆ that was the best one of the bunch so far. Very cute, date that never should have been, low angst, but I enjoyed the characters actually getting to know each other and finding they had a lot in common.

Wings of Love 1.25☆ .. 1 who names someone Daxel?, 2: i have no idea what I read other than Eugene had potentially a lot of repressed everything, but it never really resolved? Everything just felt lhoned in... like I expect better from the author.

Skating after you: the overuse of the word swing/swung during steamy scenes threw me out of what was a fast cute read. Swinging ones hips seems like a large motion and I think better words could have been used to paint the picture. Cute read, love the nerdy tattooed hockey player.

August's Thief: I HATED how this deviated from the Heart2Heart app. The sentient CUPID bot was weird... were they in a room with a rando voice? It took me a while to get into this too. I didn't like Dawson until I found out his motives. Then it was sweet. The bot was fucking creepy.

Mixed Signals 3.75 ☆ I like that EM Lindsey doesn't shy away from characters who don't fit any molds. I hate that box Nix and Mads had to deal with horrific imbeciles in order to find each other, but I would totally read a full length book with their story.

When CUPID strikes:3☆ cute GFY quick paced read. I liked it.

Brie Mine: 3.5 ☆ Super sweet novella from Charlie Nowak. There was great imagery for the town of Whitby, an awesome meet cute, and it was just a really nice read.

A New Thrill: 1☆.. if I could give it less I would. There is NOTHING romantic about a narcissist who railroads someone they spent months gaslighting to take them back. That story should have come with a trigger warning because I am still trying to talk myself down off an anxiety attack.. so thanks for that author. The H2H app is supposed to be a matchmaker and you perverted it by allowing someone's sister to hack it

Among Friends: 3.25☆ really cute childhood best friends reunion story. Looks like it will be part of a new series.

AJ Sherwood with the best of the whole book at the very end. 4.5 stars and THAT is how you write a solid short read! I will review the whole thing when I figure out the final thoughts.

JP Sayle: 2.75 stars maybe? My gripes.. why have a difficult to pronounce name and not give us any hints? It's frustrating and annoying. Second, I don't like Pierre... at all.. never mind the squick of uncontrollable anal glands. The fact that he as a non magic user felt that he knew better than all the others and did a spell anyway just showed that he is only about him. I don't know if I want to read more.

Chloe Archer: meh, 2.5 stars? I'm not the biggest fan of the OTT characters in MM reads. They annoy the living daylights out of me. The majority of this read was NOTHING but inner monologs and good gravy it's exhausting. It's never a good thing when you switch from reading to enjoy to reading to get through it.

Michele Notaro: 3.75 stars for me. I do love the Ellwoods and I'm glad they only played a small role instead of taking over the story. Very sweet story between Jett and bat shifter Ward. Found family is the best.

S.J. Himes: I feel absolutely let down that we got zero sexy time from Leif and Alec. Seriously, good read, and the author did promise a full length book in 2024... so now I get to go hunt that down cause yeah, that was good. 4 stars and a new mystery future book for the TBR pile... which is giving me murder looks for adding more to it... oh well, future me problems!

Meghan Maslow: another .5 star read. Maslow has a perfect demonstration of what NOT to do in a novella. It's long and it takes place in an established series and gives no hints to a reader who has no IDEA what the hell is going on. Super bad taste with the "floater" reference and lacknof compassion, especially in the face that LGBT youth's stats on suicide. Way to get yourself blacklisted on my shelves author.

Lisa Oliver... 2 5 stars.. the magic world sounds horrendous. Anchors are governed by a strict set of rules and Wielders of the Magic Sword don't really have to follow them? Like, do as I say, not as I do kind of shit. I also felt NO chemistry between these two. The storyline was interesting, but there was a lot going on and the only resolution we got was through one character's inner thoughts.. total miss for me.

3.5 star read from HL Day. I liked the paranormal necromancer John and his fated mate Bellamy. There was storyline and plot and even though I still have questions, it was a good read.

Grae Bryan: 3 stars for this one... love me some dragon shifters and this was sweet. I got squicked when Mal was like "Oh, I'm clean" .. dude, just say you're negative, or figure out a better way to say it. I also hated that the final bonding took place off page. Cmon, you built this whole thing up around that final step and we don't even get to see it? Felt kinda cheated.

Jennifer Cody: 2.0 stars maybe... i dunno. It was another OTT dramatic character inner monologing me to death. Supposed immediate chemistry that I didn't feel.

Kelly Fox... Jesus 1 star is being generous. Thorin is a D*CK. The way he treated Poe was beyond horrible and in no way did he redeem himself. One second he is the biggest d-bag in the world and then a light switch flips and he is falling over himself sappy. The short is basically a sex-a-thon, but left me more squicked out than interested. Least favorite read from this author's work.

Lee Colgin: 3.5 not a bad read at all. This was my first read from this author and I would be willing to give Mongrel a try. Valius and Bela were adorable, especially Bela. Side characters added to the story enough to whet my curiosity.
