Really digging this one, just struggling to understand why James Franco is narrating the audiobook. Sometimes if the actor is playing the protagonist in a movie they'll have them narrate the movie tie-in version but yeah, what gives? He isn't doing a great job.

One of the bleakest books I’ve read in my life but there’s so much of it, and yet I’d read 2000 pages I’m that into it.

Fascinating store but WAY too long. This is 10 hours of audiobook crammed into 21 hours. This thing just DRAGS, full of exhaustive detail that is fundamentally unnecessary and distracts from the interesting stuff. Slogging thru because the core story is compelling but not happy about it.

Engrossing reading but the opening chapters are like, a heroes journey for one of the MLB’s greatest dirtbags Trevor Bauer. Woof.
