There’s so much detail in this book - for better or worse. I trust Makkai to wrap everything up; she traditionally leaves no stone unturned, but at a few pages past the half way mark, I am exhausted. There doesn't seem to be a twist in sight. I feel that i've spent half the book waiting for the MC to just trust that her judgement and hunch was right. On towards the next half to see her prove herself right… 😬
