Patti sat on flight to Japan thinking ‘just come back, you’ve been gone long enough’ while reminded of Fred broke me a little bit. 😔

Rereading this after nine years 💜

Taking a short break from the delightfully whimsical series!
Intermezzo has been staring at me for over a year… nervous because I could not abide her previous release but adore Conversations with Friends and Normal People. Nervous because this is a mixed reviewed release. Will it bore me or depress me into oblivion or will it enable me to remember why I love her nuanced complex protagonists.

Influenced by and influencer who talks about books is no bad thing I suppose. Feels lvery Austen-esque with the comedic quips! Something light and a bit fun is needed to pull me out of a bit of reading / life slump.
