If this is an Ursula retelling, then why is her name Sereia in this? And why is she a mermaid when she always depicted as a cecaelia? I am a tad confused 🙃

Styx is the best character in the book. At this point, I’m reading it just for her 😂

This entitled depiction of Persephone makes it difficult to root for her…I’m hoping for some character development here.

I suppose I shouldn’t have gone into this expecting a lore-infused book like Lore, for there’s very little Arthurian lore interwoven into it. If anything, it’s more of a treasure hunting book, à la The Gilded Wolves.

The onslaught of pop culture references (authors, books, etc) is starting to irk me. 🙄 You’re describing your character as another in someone else’s book?! 🤨

For a magical fight to the death, this is shockingly slow 🤨
