I think I hate this book. Shane consistently leads his folks to death. The execution of the raid knowing that they were sold out was the single dumbest portion of this book. In fact, it’s one of those things that makes me question Mr. Godwin’s creativity. I enjoy most of his books, but this one soured my mood. Things need to change very soon or I don’t know if I’ll pick up another Goodwin book again

I like the book but Dan talking about weed to often and him smoking every now and then is turning me off. The world was destroyed in a sense, and this idiot is complaining that he wishes there was more weed. I’m having a hard time getting down with that line of thinking. Oh well

This F ing book is killing me. Here we are again with another tragedy for the Hawkspur family. Come on already!!!!!! I’m about to ctrl+alt+del this book.

This book is quickly becoming unbearable to read. How in the world does one family suffer so much so quickly. Assassination attempt on mom who’s almost killed and at last minute a freaking puma comes to the rescue and it’s accompanied by her long lost daughter. Son is enslaved as well. Ima try my best to finish this book but this series may get tossed into “never again to read”

This book is angering me. The Hawkspur family are blind bumbling idiots. How can so many things happen to one family and they blindly fall into each conflict. This family is incredibly naive and cursed with stupidity. This family needs to get their stuff together. I love the book however, there has been very little buildup or background on the guilds and the empire. Needs to go more in depth on a lot.

Spoiler alert. I hate this book! First half of the book is all about rape and love. I am over the crappy love sagas. Every character has a love interest and it’s love immediately. I’m only finishing this book because I want to know what happened to Cole. Mr. Newman I feel, rushed this book and hastily threw words on paper without too much character development. I’m pissed at this book. I was hoping for more!

I am getting pretty frustrated with this book. These poor kids can’t catch a damn break. I’m pulling for them, but I don’t know how they will all survive as a group. I like Hunter and the grumpy kid. These characters are all very likable

So far I like this book but I’m becoming very frustrated with John, the main character. I would love to slap him in the face and tell him to get over it. Oh well, I’m sure he will eventually figure it out. He better
