Preachy at times so far. Also contradictions and citations needed. Eg, they were “the same as common bank robbers” but they also “weren’t asking for money” — how? Eg, “for the victims it was the same” — did you ask them all?

I don’t think much of this true.
It’s funny how it’s it’s meant to be a record of things that happened to her but the narrator has no interior or emotional life.
It’s quite beautifully written

The dates are all messed up. He is in his forties, and met his wife at work but his dad warned him about her “thirty years earlier”. And the dad was born in the 1950s, but is only in his 70s despite being set in 2037???

Also houellebecq doesn’t seem to have figured out that we use our cellphones for more than just making calls nowadays
