Amy is starting Mood Machine: The Rise of Spotify and the Costs of the Perfect Playlist
For a book that is clearly written by someone who is very smart, the narration in the audio book makes it almost incomprehensible.

If reincarnation turns out to be true, I pray I don’t come back as a Mardi Gras mule.

I’m only about 20 minutes in and the writing is so bad that I am seriously questioning the human race. This book has almost a 4.6 star rating on here!!!

Book club read. I hate to give it one star because I think the intent of the content was to be enlightening, but it was not a good book.

This book makes being a satanist sound super boring. But it does have my new favorite quote—someone dumber than me figured out how to do it. In terms of filing taxes, putting together IKEA furniture, etc. Love it!

Amy is starting The Forgotten Girls: A Memoir of Friendship and Lost Promise in Rural America
I didn’t like this book at the beginning and I realized why about a quarter of the way through it’s because it reminded me very much of my own childhood, teens, and 20s. A really painful read that challenges the idea of rural girls and women having limited access to private colleges and Ivy League schools because they don’t think they’re smart enough or because of money. Motherhood. Drugs. Very deep!

I am having to try way too hard to figure out what is happening in this book. There are a lot of whores, though.

They have gotten off track to talk extensive about vampires. Rabies is real-life terrifying. Why are they talking about vampires?
