Really liking this so far! But while I like Rosie and Penn as separate characters, their "problem" of Poppy vs Claude is...tiring, the way they have of building up a lifetime of potential problems and volleying what ifs back and forth. Can't the kid just be? If you need a name for them, say 'nonconforming'? I side with Penn for now, never hurts to be informed, especially as a parent. Will expand more once I finish...

Not really the book for me, but I'm already about halfway through so I'll continue. The national park setting (in the Grand Tetons National Park) is very unique, you don't read a lot about the NPS. But beyond that, quite a "vanilla" book so far.

I'm not that familiar wth Ocean Vuong, but this book pulled me in immediately! So far, so good.

I found Part 1 pretty slow, but the story has picked up now!

The coziest, most pleasant read I've had in a good while! After heavier high fantasy like the third Empyrean installment, I'm finding the Spellshop most refreshing. Just in time for my birthday, and the rainstorms forecast later this week :)

Kind of repetitive...but I might as well finish it now :)

It's picking up, but I admit...this is a bit of a slog for the first 100 pages. Not used to that! I would have given up and DNFd by now but it's Tom Hanks! And it's about movie making! Two things I love, so I'm glad it's gained some steam now.

Weird confession, but I actually like the hoarding theme to this book. So far, so good. And hats off to the book jacket, which cheerfully, conveniently omits the fact that Darcy is a 17/18 year old teen - I thought this was a "40-something character comes home" type story.

I wasn't aware this was YA! :)

I love the concept of this book, but Georgia's character is kind of melodramatic/glum. I get that she's young, and she's figuring it all out, but you can live a fulfilling life without romantic love...not like it's full-stop impossible.

Very shallow so far. Maybe it gets better?
