Getting to the middle of the book and is getting a little slow to I have stopped reading it for now. Just might have been one too many supposed affairs.

This is probably the 3rd time I have attempted to read this great novel as everyone says. What made me decide to give it a try again was it has come up in several movies and other books so it was I got to read it. Well it is hard to read but I will plow on through. It is like reading a book through a lens that is fogged up and as soon as you get a clear look the fog is back. Listening to the book now.

It reads very hectic to me and it leaves me with a sense of what it was like as this terror organization formed. I am going to pause in my reading of it and pick back up later.

I stopped reading this for now. I kept trying because the title and the expectation of some new theory belief but I get so lost in the writing that I am not sure what I am reading or what is happening. This is Book one of the saga but not sure I will get through it.

Borrowed the Trilogy from Amazon and the first book is turn pager at times. I am enjoying it. Not read many western novels but enjoy the historical view into native people from a trappers perspective.

There was a time before and during the pages of cricket that I thought why should I keep reading. Then they arrived in the USA and now the title of the book makes sense. It is all genres tolled into one. There is a lot of cultural info in regards to ethnicity of Indians in their differences and their likeness or ability to share not in their differences but in their oneness. Yet now with the turn of events....

Richard is finished with The Good Earth Trilogy: The Good Earth, Sons, and A House Divided
I truly enjoyed reading the triology...there were times in "A House Divided" that I would not finish and then I didn't want it to end. It is one of the stories that just lingers within me and I compare my thoughts and feelings to what I experienced in reading...worth the read

Enjoying much better than the movie. From what I recall from the movie it was a comedy. The book develops the story behind the Hitler's greed and true desire of the allies to preserve and protect.

Richard is finished with The Giver (The Giver, #1)
I didn't get it as being influential. Seems it is missing something and couldn't determine if the next book picked up on this or not. I watched the movie on an airplane at the sametime I was reading the book. the movie was a poor adaptation of the book. I guess the premise was the same but the movie didn't have to go the way it did...not reading the book would have been totally confused.
