Oh no please I can’t handle anyone else dying

Holy crap, I am obsessed with this. If I’m not reading about it, I’m thinking about it. I already know, have known since the airplane section, that this is going to get 5 starts. I trust the upcoming ending completely.

Oh no. Noooooooo. This book is going to wreck me.

I’ll never complain about the wait between published books again. This is a beast of a book, and it was worth every second it took to create it. I can’t wait to finish it, but I also want to read it forever.

OMG I am loving this.

I love Scream 5, and 6 even more. They’re such fun additions to the franchise.

I’m undecided about if I’ll come back for 7 when it’s released. I’ll go into more detail in my review, but there are multiple reasons I’m hesitant to continue.

I’ve always found method acting a little eerie. I guess it works for people, but what do I know, I’m not an actress. I do know that if I was at a barbecue by a lake and I saw Rory Culkin staring at me through the trees, I would not survive. My heart would not be able to deal with the scariest Culkin method acting in my vicinity.

I love Scream 5 as is, but I also LOVE Kevin Williamson’s original idea as more of a direct sequel to 4, and the whole killer vs killer idea. It would have been amazing.

Yay, a Dead Meat reference! I didn’t know they were interviewed for this, but I did love their cameo in Scream 5.

Obviously, I'm aware the title is Scream not Scream 5. For the sake of your sanity, and mine, I'm calling it 5 throughout. Fans do it, the people who made the movie do it, and the one that came after it is called Scream 6. I briefly considered calling it 5cream but, let's be real, that's only funny when Jack Quaid says it.

These footnotes are yet another thing to love about this.

Having a hard time with this one. I’m unsure how much is due to the book itself and how much is just a reading slump.

It’s been a bit since I read anything by David Joy, but damn. This feels more violent than the others. Not necessarily a positive or negative aspect on its own, just interesting to see how his writing has evolved and changed.

It had always been obvious Maggie was only passing through.

Of the three, Tristan is easily my favorite.

Feeling disappointed in this one so far. 148 pages to convey mayve 50 pages worth of actual plot / character value. It’s giving overstuffed.

Atmospheric beginning, as always.

I truly do not understand why they are keeping Andrea around.
