Honestly I can’t believe that Joan is letting Nick be compelled again. She’s been fighting this whole damn time for his freedom and now she’s just letting it happen? She also literally watched him break through it already

Honestly it’s getting kind of annoying how Joan is constantly having to explain everything from the last book to everyone. I understand why she does, but it doesn’t make a compelling read - just a lot of skimming

I’m getting a little annoyed with this book. Everyone is so cryptic and you’d think Joan would try to think about things more but she’s just a freaking bull in a china shop
