I love David Shields approach in the book Reality Hunger, where what he’s getting at is really clear, but this one I’m just hungering (huh) for him to say something, anything about what he’s trying to do with it

Chavisa Woods is CRIMINALLY underrated and underread. Now that I’ve put that in caps I’ve got no idea what that actually means, but it’s still true. Best short story collections.

Was not prepared for the birth trauma content or that it would press so brutally on my own for some reason

I’m taking forever to read this bloody book and it’s about to expire on Libby again with a bloody queue. It’s ridiculous because I’m loving it with all my heart but every two pages it makes me think of some train of thought or maybe more appropriately sends me down some rabbit hole so I guess it’s hard work for ppl with undiagnosed adhd

Bought at books without borders in Singapore and cos I’m going to the Robert walser museum later on this trip I thought I should get it. Will I actually read it before I get to Switzerland? I don’t know why I’m writing these notes I’ve been hyper for two nights

Under the Waterloo bridge. The man who sold it to me bears the code AA and I felt his nervous energy from across the tables the whole time I was holding it and looking at the whole market. I forget probably some people know exactly how anxious I am and I find that excruciating

This has been on my wishlist since I saw it on a friend’s shelf. Found in the lgbtq+ section of waterstones brighton and thought “I should get that later when I’m in London”, found out it’s literally only at that waterstones and no other and went back for it

Started reading this in the big public library in Aarhus but we weren’t staying long - and then had to order it so it will be waiting for me when I get home. Hard to find!

Bought this book in Science Fiction Bokhandeln in Malmö, which is basically a Swedish clone of the front section of Area 52 in Hobart, except no one is wearing respirators

I am not recommending this book and will not be reviewing it but I needed to get it off my TBR so I'm reading it.

This was concise and practical but focuses on things that actually matter to a bloodyminded enneagram type 4 who normally throws self-help books at the wall
