Her writing is excellent. The descriptions are inventive and visceral.

I’m finding that I’m a little impatient at the story so far. Let’s get to it already. This just might not be the best genre for me.

Well this is just plain tedious. I wanted to finish after getting a good way through the book last year. But this going-on from Tom about making things “proper” before freeing Jim is just ridiculous and is getting frustrating.

I’ll finish, but it can’t come quick enough.
And everyone is a fucking idiot too.

Well this is hard to put down.

Whoa. The author just narrated a part where she gets emotional and cracks a bit. And I’m so glad they put that audio into the final production. That was powerful. I rewound that segment several times.

Whew, well, that’s one hell of a way to start a novel. 💫 💥 🧑‍🚀
