Ooh, this batch included my story, Out of the Woods. Is it egotistical to call that one of my favorites in this grouping? 😬 It's one of my favorite things I've ever written 🤷‍♀️ Also really enjoyed LR Woods's Harbinger!

Haven't hit a story I've disliked yet! Favorites so far: The Spectergraph by Liddell Rayne, and Quarry by Liam Hogan.

Loving this so far, no surprise there!

Listen, this book *is* compulsively readable and I *am* enjoying it. But this author clearly has never had a Wendy's Frosty. For one thing, she refers to it as a "Frostee" (baffling). For another, she describes characters sipping it through a straw like it's a milkshake rather than a frozen treat more akin to soft serve ice cream that you eat with a spoon. 🤦‍♀️ I'm so distracted by this weirdness, y'all.

Um . . . these have been the most confusing first few chapters of a book I've ever read . . . .

I read this for the first time over 20 years ago, and thought it was great. So far, this reread is disappointing. Hoping I start enjoying it more soon . . . .

I'm really enjoying how often we're told that the fat character is fat, and that the female character has breasts that her tight shirts can barely contain. Apparently those are very important personality traits to make the reader aware of. Repeatedly. Non-stop, in fact.

It's been over 20 years since the last time I read this, and boy had I forgotten how much of this book is just characters expositing to each other.

Why is the principal making Christina fill out a questionnaire that's essentially the same as the "what are you afraid of" questions Peter Stormare makes you answer at the beginning of the Until Dawn video game? Like, the Shevvingtons are definitely running some wack cult, right?

Christina's pretty judgmental for someone who's only met like ten people in her entire life.

This book is better written than the two Anna Davies Point Horrors, but I also can't read more than 10 pages at a time without falling asleep. This shit is tedious af.

So far, I'm not hating this. I know, I know, I'm shocked too! Of course, compared to Identity Theft, this is a masterpiece. I'm fully expecting to eat these words by the end of the book, though.
