Everything I've been reading has been feeling a little flat lately, so I decided to switch it up and read a classic British mystery. So far, I'm really enjoying it. The setting is the Italian Alps (characters are on a skiing vacation), well described and kind of an unusual choice for genre. Definite period piece.

so far, a big improvement on the novella/prequel. Thumbs up.

I'm trying to get into this book because I've heard so many good things about the series. but I'm finding it a bit confusing and I'm having a hard time getting into it.

Goes past my usual heat level, but the other does something kind of different. interested to see where this is going to go.

Disappointing. It had a bit of a "Elizabeth Peters" feel, but not quite at that caliber. Interesting premise.

Really liked it. Not for the faint of heart. Reminded me a bit of early seasons of ER.

Bit too confusing. I may leave the series here.
