I’m reading this after book 4 at the recommendation of the list from AgathaChristie.com for suggested reading order.

Gah dang it! They switched audio narrators. I hate it when they do that. I was used to the other lady for the series and now I'm going to be distracted by the differences of the new author instead of enjoying the book to begin with.

I'm really enjoying the premise and the language. It was a very slow beginning, but in retrospect that laid a good foundation. I was thinking to possibly read this with Rory but it's more complex and in depth that I originally thought. I'm liking some language and phraseology - there are poetic thoughts here, maybe an homage to the victorian era of Miss Peregrine.

Bwahahaha! Just picturing that hallway lined with all those males waiting for the girls to get out of a movie. Giggles for days. These are the kinds of things I miss from the older books-the camaraderie of the house and the guys commiserating and the girls having girl time and good down time fun.

Now wait a second. When Kinney is reporting to Aimery on the incident at the house with Iko (and Winter), why doesn't Cinder's little lie detector light go off letting her now that he wasn't telling the truth about everything? Did we just forget about that ability of hers back from book 1?

The guard's switched alliance to Princess Celine makes me realize, Cinder's story has taken on more of a Snow White vibe than Cinderella. The evil queen is hunting the young, beloved beauty to kill her so the queen can reign while the huntsman can't bear to kill the young princess out of affection and loyalty.

Well, this should occupy my ears for the rest of summer. 32 whopping hours. Let's see how long it takes me.

I recognize the reader of Sherah's part (4). Finally placed a face to the voice...it's Susan Bunch! Ross's ex wife's wife on Friends. LOL

OMG-the scene where she sent the text to the wrong person and his reaction. Groaning in sympathy and giggling madly with giddiness.

Finally back at it since I got the rest of the series on audio. Need to finish this one before I can get to the others in my ears while I'm working on the house.

I was so disappointed with the 'meh' feeling of the last ID book that I feel I'm owed a better ending for MI. So, so far so good. I'm 100 pages in and humming. Like excited and don't want to put it down. I don't acutely remember everything that previously happened (it HAS been 6 books and TWO years since I read the last one when it came out) but I don't feel lost or like I'm missing anything.
