Goodness me, Mr King likes his descriptions. It’s been such a slow read for me… but seems to be picking up now!

I like Auren as a narrator much more than the last girl. I can tell she has some sass and rebellion just waiting to be unleashed.

Ohhhhh…. I like this so far… I’m on the edge of my seat wondering what’s going to happen! The only thing I dislike is that there aren’t chapters… so I can’t see that I have ___ minutes left until I’m done. 🤪

SUPER cute so far! I love the assassin game they are playing! Just a cute and easy summer read!

Is this thing over yet? I’m this far in and can’t give up now but it’s BRUTAL..

It’s good… definitely more action going on in this one… but I’m not getting emotional in the scenes where I think the author wanted me to.

I don’t know if it’s specifically this book, or the general length of it… but I find myself growing very impatient… slow burn but not in a spicy tension type of way…

I’m ready for action… either a little smut or battle.. either one would scratch the boredom itch right now…

Ok I take my previous comment back… now I’m invested in this Chaol/Irene dynamic. The good and bad, the dark and light!

Ok… I was excited for an update on Chaol… but I’m DYING to know what is happening with Aelin and her Court! Someone tell me that I don’t spend this entire book with the Khagan.

I’m sure this is the point… but once Jo left, and Michael started to struggle with all the juggling… I don’t have a bone in my body that feels (well, if bones could feel) sorry for him. Really hoping this story ends in gratitude for Moms and not another man playing the victim for having to do the bare minimum for his family.

(STRUGGLE TO JUGGLE… hahahahahahahaha)

Already giggling at Vera… and I already want to visit her tea store!

Ohhhhhh part I ended with a bang… and I totally thought everything was a trap… it’s amazing how much better Sarah has gotten at writing through the course of this series.

Ok… seems like things are picking up right away in this one. Super stoked to have it to read this week!
