As I was setting my reading targets for today I accidentally spoiled a huge development for myself but I don't know why yet although am putting the pieces together, most of the puzzle has been made and I've figured out the why too.
I'm still enjoying it and it's keeping me interested which Sophie McKenzie knows how to do so well.
Half way and still gripped.

I'm enjoying the build up.

Me from 11 years ago would probably enjoyed this book a lot more than I did which is great as this book is perfect for young readers who are looking for some true to life drama. I ended this understanding Flynn more but also worried that he would end up being the very person he doesn't want to be which could be dangerous for River. I wouldn't say the story went over my head but it just wasn't for me.

I'm getting an uncomfortable feeling that this book could be heading towards some dark situations and looking back I can see all the signs. If anyone has seen the movie Fear, Flynn reminds me of the Mark Wahlberg character at the start of the film.

Dawn Porter is reading Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist
I watched the film a few years back and it took me a while to get round to reading the book and I wish I read it sooner. The authors are amazingly, deeply connected with Nick and Norah's and grab every opportunity in their messy quest to seal their relationship to show the reader how much music has a significant importance in their friends and their own lives. Enjoyed thoroughly but with some trying moments.

Half way point and even though I'm well over thus books target audience age I can't seem to put it down. A ton of the typical flip flop attitude that is true to teenage love lives but I like Sophie McKenzie so much I think I can deal with it. I can understand how it can be tedious for some.

Dawn Porter is finished with Green Lantern, Volume 1: Sinestro
I've wanted to get into the Green Lantern story for some time but after reading this I felt more out of the loop somehow. I know more about Sinestro and his weird flip flop loyalties to his home world which is great but the story didn't do anything for me. On the bright side it was a nice adventure with an open ending.

Dawn Porter is finished with Split Second (Split Second #1)
If I was in my early teens I know I would have enjoyed the heck out this book.
Having read one McKenzie 's adult books I thought it wouldnt be much difference. The plot twists are engaging but I didn't care deeply for Charlie and Nat's apart from the central story. Teens who love to chase plot twist & figure out bad and good guys will love it.

Dawn Porter is finished with Mars, Vol. 1
I quite liked it. It's different from other mangas I've read in that it's not all romantically doom and gloom and I feel deeper issue will arise. The bullying is shocking & I feel for Kira. I'm still not sure about it but I'm curious a bit volume 2. I guess I'm hooked.

So far the it's the typical story of a girl (kira) who is socially awkward who is then bullied by a group of popular girls when a mysterious, daredevil (Rei ) decides to randomly start showing an interest in her after she meets him in a park.
This is a library pick up from the teen section so I thought it was going to be quite mellow but it got heavy on some issues quite soon in the book.

Because the library only had book two on offer this was really difficult to get in the groove of. I was determined to read it anyway but I just couldn't get past not knowing so much info as the volumes/books are quite large hardbacks that resembles study books. Until I find book 1 this will have to wait.

I steam through this book so fast. I had the time and I was glued to it.
I can often see how the end is going to turn out buy not with James writing. An added touch at the end also left a great uh oh ending which wasn't cheesy.
I can't wait to read more from James Dawson. Perfect for the run up to Halloween. Loved it!

A highly enjoyable read when I didn't know much back story. I didn't know much about anti venom/ Eddie Brock turning over a new leaf. Aunt May becomes a Jameson and Peter finally being happy in his life outside of Spiderman while balancing fighting of Mr Negative and his goons.

So far so good. Grabbed me from the start as I was re introduced to Madame Web character I knew about from the 90's tv animated series although it may not be the same one.
Lots of reference to other issues throughout which is cool but as this is a library pick up I'll have to purchase to get further into the story.
It's holding my attention like a good comic should.

Dawn Porter is finished with Batman: The Return of Bruce Wayne
I originally thought that this was a one off book as I picked it up from the library but upon some research I found out that it's part of a bigger story.

As a stand alone it doesn't work very well, not knowing much about how Bruce Wayne ended up where he did first confused me but as I got deeper into the book I wasn't left stranded for long.

An enjoyable random read that expanded my knowledge about Batman.
