Whats with this constant need to remind the reader that one of the pillars that props this society up is a careful choice of words. Mentioning it once already seems like an overkill to me, kind of like a sign that you don't trust your reader to be clever enough to pick up on it, but stating it every like 5 pages? Like, okay, we get it. It is not a unique concept. You don’t have to constantly remind us.

I'm almost done and the main thing that interests me is whether the Kripkes were named after Kripke semantics/Saul Kripke

Not the random segue into how the USA is "better for workers" than the UK. The true proletariat safe haven.

Enjoying the plot, but first person POV is my nemesis

Even though the drama shenanigans of body swapping seem more fun than the novel's body sharing, the plot point of "omg did i make you have gay sex" did make me chuckle.

My character flaw is that sometimes I watch a cdrama and then get mildly obsessed with it

My experience reading this book so far:
- oh my god, she's insufferable
- oh my god, i can relate to some of her thought processes, i need to change my life asap, and Not in the way she does it

take a shot every time you read the word ersatz

Still dragging the love triangle in the second book is a bit annoying

Finally, a lantern scene! I was getting worried that it would be the one trope this book wouldn't do!

I really respect that the stakes in this series are always kept incredibly high.

Way more discussions of incest than I expected.
