Oh, boy. I must have really been sucked into the story in the last book, because some of the writing this time around is grabbing my attention and not in a good way. We have a sentence containing both "cherry red blood" and "pearl white snow". Really!? Blood on snow makes its own statement, honey, honest it does.

I'm reading the series in order cause that's how I roll. My only regret is not reading him sooner. His brain is a fascinating place and I love the puns.

Holy cow. Where do I even start. I am just gobsmacked. This urge to be a goat. The goat beauty contest in the Middle East. The prosthetic goat stomach designed to digest grass. This has got to be one of the strangest true stories I've ever read.

Started slowly, got interesting, then unfortunately went to a story line I wouldn't ordinarily read... but now I'm hooked. :-\

At first I wasn't sure if I was going to keep reading. At this point, I'll probably finish it, but I think that all the footnotes and multiple viewpoints are distracting rather than interesting.
