Two Harvard political science professors explain how democracy works, and how it declines, highlighting the way both parties have participated in this decline, with special focus on the way the Trump administration is doing more toward that decline, demonstrating that he and his political strategies are textbook would-be authoritarianism. An important book that needs to be read by every American.

Just finished chapter 12 and one of many "Interludes." I'm not familiar with the expanded universe (EU), so I am spending a lot of time looking up place and character names in online sources to get an image of who and where the story is featuring. Not enough references to the actual heroes of the saga, but it is definitely working on developing the state of the Empire after the destruction of the second Death Star.
