Okay but this is so good....the writing and the spice are both delivering 😍

Question: Is this book worth finishing/does it get any better? As of right now the writing isn't great, and it seems like a low-budget haunting adeline rip-off.

How does the second poem in the book already have me in tears

Billy Chapata always knows how to explain the way my soul is feeling, sometimes before I even understand it myself. Such a cathartic experience

I'm still waiting for this to hook me in....does it get better? Or does it keep dragging? Where's the action, I want knife to throat enemies to lovers, and all I'm doing is sitting here yawning 🥱

Nothing beats the excitement of opening up this book and realizing somehow I ended up with a signed copy?! Little miracles when you least expect them ✨️ 😌

Severely underwhelmed by this collection so far. This collection was mismarketed, as it says it's a collection on healing and mental health, such as depression which is even in the title. At this point, it primarily feels like a collection about being a mother, a black woman, and dealing with topics such as assault. I really was hoping to love this, but it's just not hitting. I'm hoping the rest will redeem it

How is a book about a demon making me giggle like a school girl and kick my feet? I have attempted to read this book multiple times and never got past 7%, but today it is hitting. So freaking good 😅😁💀

Some parts were pretty predictable otherwise it would have been a 5 star. Still really enjoyed!

Really not that impressed so far. I loved Drive Me Wild by Melanie Harlow, and I feel like this book is her using the same idea but in a less thrilling way. Like ok girl shows up in huge wedding dress to the middle of nowhere, nice yet slightly grumpy guy takes her in. The difference is this book is severely lacking the spice and funny bits that Drive Me Wild had, and I feel like this could have been written better

I can't tell if I'm loving this or hating this...

In one sitting I'm already almost a quarter of the way through this brick of a book. The writing style is easy to get into, and is very atmospheric. Enjoying it a lot so far, it honestly reminds me a bit of An Enchantment of Ravens (which I also really liked)!
