I loved this book by Celeste Ng. It reminded me of The Dictionary of Lost Words by Pip Williams but was even better! The story line was so believable that I found myself looking up PACT and I did Google the Japanese Folktale: The Boy Who Drew Cats AND retold that story to my Grandchildren as I had not heard it before. I was very surprised and pleased by this book as I really didn't know what it was about. I have heard of the Hole ew really nothing about its micron or history. This story addressed real myths and misconceptions about an important topic and the author wove a believable tale that encompassed this timer in history. I enjoyed the feel good ending. I was left wanting to visit the real Hole in the Wall in Wyoming!

The premise this book was built on, murders being carried out to complete a hypothetical 'list', was unique. The plot twists and turns kept me guessing until the end.
