Wow, if you're looking for a vanguard text to include in a queer sf course or list, this is an intriguing one!

I could only read about 200 pages to give this book several benefits of multiple doubts. In the end I had to pull the plug on reading a work in which the quality of research and argumentative leaps vied for utter shabbiness and laziness. Thinking about algorithms today is vital, but I'd say give this a miss and get Ed Finn's What Algorithms Want.

I am WAY too busy with work and the kids to get sucked into an extra book right now. So, HOW in the world did Sourdough so fully seep into my pores? I can't offer a final statement, but almost halfway in, I have to say this is amazing. If you have any interest in work-life in emerging techs, sourdough bread cultures, a mystery, life in contemporary San Francisco, I can recommend giving this one a try.

Be patient through the many-character initial exposition work and the novel gets intriguing around page 50 as it shifts to Apothecary Melchior's interior on the geopolitics of 15th century Tallinn.

I had no idea it would be like this.
Eleanor's interior combined with the banter dialogues and some seriously dark eerie are making me already eager for a second reading!

The last vampire novel I read was Dracula because I simply don't read vampire novels; yet this one seemed worth a peek and I'm deeply enjoying it!
