loving this so far, wish I had the time to read the rest in one go

I really want to read some gritty real life teen books. preferably set a while ago. Something like Manstealing for Fat Girls or Dinky Hocker shoots Smack. Any ideas?

re reading this gem of a book because a sequel has just come out

i know exactly the sort of book i want to read but i don't know which book. i want a true story about a city maybe new york, in the late 60s or early 70s. something not too trashy but not too high brow, with cool photos. any ideas?

re-reading this because i read it as a teenager but can't remember it.

going away with these 9 novels: con brio-brina svit, the enchanter-vladimir nobokov, living room-rachel sherman, the lover-marguerite duras, the road-cormac mccarthy, the position-meg wolitzer, the world of henry orient-nora johnson, no and me-delphine de vigan and the good man jesus and the scoundrel christ-philip pullman.

really like this so far. funny.

no i am not reading the adult non-fiction best seller about man against the wild. i am reading the children's saga about a clan of wild cats trying to survive the onslaught of 'two-legs' and rival clans. it is so geek child chic. i don't know how far i will get through. i keep getting tigerclaw and ravenpaw and lionheart mixed up.

i am also reading the second book in the blood of the lamb trilogy. it is a nz book called into the wilderness and it's not on here yet. so far it's good.
