Maybe I'm entirely too sleep deprived but "rhetorical aubergine" was an actual lol moment for me...and my next band name.

Am I supposed to want to lock Jaya in a closet so both Isha and Grey can live their merry lives? Usually being compelled to do a progress update means a dnf is in the future. We will see.

Describing someone as "mind-bendingly beautiful" 4% in does not bode well for my enjoyment of this book. People seem to love this series/ author so I thought I'd try.

I usually like books set in this time period but something about the MC sets my teeth on edge. I don't dislike it enough to stop reading yet but if I hear her whine one more time about reputation I might have too. I totally understand of the time but it's so stuffy and annoying.

Saw a review that said it isn't revealed until like page 300. So yeah, automatic dnf because if I have to read one more time about how special Trinity is or that her dad is like such a major thing in a cloud of mystery I might scream. It had such potential but it's time to move on.

Am I ever going to learn wtf Trinity is? If it isn't revealed by page 100 dnf'ing this book REAL quick.

Ok, I'm enjoying this but it predominantly showing a blurb by Riley Sager is starting to make sense. I can't fault it too hard because The Cheerleaders intended audience, but we will see.

I think this has potential I am just not currently feeling it. Shelved until further noticed.

I never thought a spaceship would be my favorite character but here we are.

Dan Stevens is saving this entire venture for me.

It is also getting mildly more interesting.

Only thing that is making it interesting is Dan Stevens. Thank goodness for audiobooks or I'd be reading this for 500 years.

So um...I think this may be predictable-esque and I honestly can't decide if that is a good or bad thing.

I can't decide if this book is worth reading. It's interesting, I think, but a lot of the language is clunky af.

This is more or less what I wanted but was definitely not giving from 10 Thousand Doors.

I'm getting that same goosebumps vibe that The Night Circus gave me. It is amazing how much books can effect us.
