every woman the main character meets wants to fuck him or falls in love with him on the spot or both
why are male authors like that

Olga is starting Sleeping Giants (Themis Files, #1)
I was looking forward to reading it so much but it 's been really disappointing so far
Characters don't feel like actual people, like, at all
And even though it's not actually on the "breasted boobily to the stairs" level (yet) but god it's obvious it was written by a straight dude who loves his chicks objectified

Olga is starting Doctor Who: The Lost Dimension Book 1
I'm a scaredy-cat so reading Meddling Kids at night turned out to be a big no-no for me. It's creepy, okay. It has monsters and shit. So I've decided to extend my currently-reading list, just for the purpose of peaceful reading before sleep. Of course, Doctor Who ALWAYS has monsters in it too, but they are not Lovecraft-meets-Stranger-Things deer-eating motherfuckers (at least, not in this comic book they aren't).

Olga is starting 20th Century Ghosts
I'm used to thinking of it as one of my favourite books, maybe the one that affected me most clearly both as a reader and an aspiring author - and yet I haven't reread for... what? Ten years? And I've never read it as it was written, in English.

So, yeah, I'm a bit afraid. What if it's not as brilliant as I remember it??

I'm willing to take the risk, though. I've just realised I've missed those stories so much.

so it's the Regency era! can't help but get warm flashbacks to JS&MN and vaguely think of a possibility of the crossover between the two

What did Leonardo Da Vinci do to James A. Owen to deserve being depicted as a thief and a fraud? (I know it's just a fairytale but still...)

...and still loving it. It feels like such a unique story. Had to stop at p.195 because my feelings overwhelmed me a bit D: This storyline with Arthur's father is just... oh.

I'm probably a little late for the hype - but I'm loving it! And I've barely started.

Очаровательный рассказ "Прокрастинатор" (да, само название предполагало, что мне понравится) подарил мне Клауса Номи, о котором раньше ни сном, ни духом. Сижу, пробую на вкус)
