Melanie is on page 44 of 305 of A Walk in the Woods: Rediscovering America on the Appalachian Trail
Just popped into Goodreads to see if anyone else has read this book. I’m laughing so hard I can’t see through tears. I watched the movie and so I’m imagining Robert Redford and Nick Nolte — but the book literally has me laughing to tears. So excellent! Sometimes Billy Bryson hits and sometimes he’s just a miss for me — but I can see why someone made this into a movie. Back to
The book.

I want to like this book. But I’m at war with myself because I detest third-party omniscient narrators. It’s a pet peeve, but I press on.

Melanie is on page 180 of 384 of Christmas with the Queen
One of my very favorite books of all time was written by this pair, Last Christmas in Paris. I really want to love this book, but I think either the historical part of this fiction is too thin, or maybe my expectations are too high. But there is still 1/2 a novel left to turn it around. Fingers crossed.

OMG! This book is giving me my love of falling headlong into a story back … mojo I’ve been misusing for several years!!! Cannot put it down.

Melanie is starting The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ
I love this book. And I love the prophets who gave all to write it for us. I’m so thankful to parents who lived lives of faith and devotion.

Melanie is 45% done with The Things We Leave Unfinished
This book has a lot of the things I love. It’s a dual-time line, epistolary novel set in World War 2 and current day. I started it originally a long time ago, but had misplaced my reading mojo. This time, I’m loving it so far. I am probably more invested in the Scarlett and Jameson than Georgia and Noah — but I have a lot of book still left. Here’s hoping it continues to be as captivating.
