Going to be shelving this one for a while. The content is written very dryly and hasn't caught my attention enough to continue despite favorable subject matter.

So the last hundred pages were non-stop. Card seemed to get over the odd sexuality issues and drop the entire thread while focusing back on the story and character development. Throw in a half dozen plot twists and some great closure on a number of mysteries and this book ended great.

Completed the first story "1922", haven't been a fan of King in a long time because his longer books seem to always "lose it" at the end. It's long been my opinion that the man cannot deal with ending a story so he just goes crazy instead. However, when he's limited to the 100 or so pages of these short stories the brilliance so many others see in him does shine through.

Been a while since I read anything from Card but he seems to have (developed?) some issues with sexuality...will be interesting to see if the theme is transient. Book overall is great so far, thoroughly hooked.
