Sooo. I just couldn’t finish this. As another reader has said, the characters are bland and hardly memorable. Our main character just had some difficulty asserting herself. Oh well. Unfortunately, I waited for 6 weeks to get this audiobook from the library based on the reviews. How do I keep making this mistake?!?

Needed to take a break from this as it is not as exciting as I thought it would be. The prologue with the kid and his father in the bank is interesting. But quickly becomes slow and less than interesting once our protagonist meets up with the renegade group. I’ll (maybe) get back to it after I read something else in between.

Omg. These damn demons. That tricky beast. And don’t even get me started on Janus. I miss so much sleep over this series. Onto the next one.

I read one review that said there are too many questions by the main character. She asks questions of others as well as in her own head. It became too tedious for me. Couldn’t finish it.

Twists and turns now that we have finally met the majority of the characters in the previous two books. Gotta love Lila Barrowhill
