good sequel, definitely liking it.

okay so all the video game lore and fighting is entertaining, even the dumb jokes. but damn, realizing some of the Bosses don’t know what is happening and are scared and confused as Carl beats them to death is tough :(

okay, that’s worth a chuckle. this is truly a video game in book format.

our narrator sure does think she’s the subject of everyone’s chatter.
so she’s…..whiny. stereotypical child of 2 shrinks. drinks and fucks all the time without enjoying any of it bc it’s all about punishing and hiding herself. yawn.

this story is off to a weird start. “certifying couplehood”?
alright i don’t like this. the concept seemed interesting but i really don’t like the writing or this run on storytelling of random events.

so Blue is the Seeker? that’s hunting Red because she is exchanging letters with Blue? i mostly like the prose of this book, it borders on poetry but i can follow the story. now tho, we’re veering into “poetry” of which i am not a fan.

i would like to know the purpose of Garden and of The Seeker, i hope we find out. like why does Garden work again the “agents”?

okay. need context in this (red) spy vs (blue) spy dynamic.

what is the book going for? fairy tale? coming of age? there doesn’t seem to be much of an avenging feminist vibe at all. it’s…..flat. a mother/daughter cannibal duo who live in the woods and it’s boring.

the writer is going for something; creepy? sexual? both? idk but it’s not landing. things don’t make sense. hundreds of ppl turn up at their door, get eaten and no one’s the wiser? their flat tired cars just escape notice? and they all want to fuck Mama? with her bad teeth and filthy self?
