This is extremely boring. I'd like to know more about the connection of lead and other pollutants to brain damage and violence. But this is sprinkled with so much inanity and excruciating detail I can't see how I keep going until the end.

I'm taking a break from this because it's too triggering right now. What vivid descriptions.

Skin So Green and Fine by Wendy Wheeler. My new favorite shirt. She didn't publish much, and is now deceased. What a writer. I wil miss her even though I've read so small a sample of her work.

I think a lot of the stories are dragging and a little dated. Some of them were really good though, so I continue.

Ugh, I might DNF this. It's not due for two weeks so I'll wait before deciding. But there's just SO MUCH set up. And the FMC is vacuous.

I am unreasonably irritated by this. How do you know if you never noticed?!
