I am enjoying this, but I wish I had waited to read this when I wasn't so tired. I'm not comprehending the story as easily as usual because my mind is so sluggish, what with work and my cat keeping me awake until almost 5AM yesterday... I will definitely reread this when I'm not so tired!!!

Reading this novella to hold me over until I receive book 3 of the Gael Song trilogy in the mail. It’s coming from the UK, so I’m worried it will take too long. I need to finish the trilogy now. 😭 I’ll read Murchad’s novella after finishing this one.

Oh, how I wish I could jump into this book and live in its world. This story is so beautiful.

I am reading the physical book along w/ the audiobook. I LOVED the 1st book's narrator, and I was eager to hear her performance in the 2nd book. Well, they changed the narrator for Gormflaith, and she is terrible! 😭 She doesn't capture the character's personality. She narrates aloofly, and there are so many poor edits. I will only listen to Aoife's narration and read the rest without the audiobook.

This is easily becoming one of my favorite fantasy books.

I just started this, but from what I've read so far, I have a feeling this is going to be a masterpiece.

I’d DNF this if I weren’t so close to finishing. This book could have easily been 200 pages less than it is. It is so slow-going. It's taking me forever to finish it. I read two chapters, and I feel like I need a break. 😫

Fun to see more personality from the half-dragons now!

I like how this book focuses more on the fantasy elements and less on the romance. I was a bit worried about that before reading, seeing as the synopsis described the male character/partner-in-crime as "dashing" and hinted toward a romance between the FMC and him. Hopefully it continues this way through the last 1/4 of this book and the second one. I don't mind some romance, but I don't want it as the main storyline.

Slowly getting better. The pace is picking up.

This is slow-going. Hopefully it gets better. I just want to read a book that blows me away... I am not having much luck this year.
