My soon to be MIL got me some of Lucy’s novels was contemplating this or the guest list first but this one is already starting off excellent ☺️

Yes Verity when you’re pregnant you are carrying a blob but from the moment it is conceived it has a gender you do realise? Even listening to her chat about a baby stealing her fiancé at this time. It’s so clear what has happened already! So possessive of the man (SO SAD!) He has goals. Why doesn’t she have goals you do realise there’s more to life than a man ?

If a woman is properly obsessed with a man run dude run! That woman is crazy and just wants any man to mark her territory because she’s pathetic. (Verity of course) Reading this second chapter of this autobiography is showing she’s obsessed with him. Does this mean that she would- no what kind of parent would - I bet you this is where it’s heading and I’m barely 1/3 through this! Crazy women.

Straight away when you hear that ill wife cannot write her own novels and all of the tragedies that accompanies Verity - a famous writer I think red flags about this character as each of her children keep ending up dying in the oddest of situations. Then she feels too bad and tries to off herself. This is my intake by page 40 before I will even continue this review. It just seems very strange for a famous writer

You know I’m really enjoying a novel when it takes me forever to finish it.

Interesting reads so far although her dad I’m ready to scream at tbh

MUST READ/LISTEN! The voices in this, and the characters are so interesting.

It’s okay but it is rambling on a little bit not sure how I feel about this yet

This first month’s BookClub reads is great so far, I love how Beyah appreciates nature now she has the opportunity to.These teens ar quite innocent compared to teenagers I have been reading in other novels recently which is refreshing but needs to stop repeating herself her thoughts about him is getting annoying I appreciate she is taking an interest in him and how her feelings about her new step-sister are changing
