How I marked this book as ‘read’ previously, idk. I didn’t think it was going to live up to its hype but wow, what a good read on ur period. And some satisfying racial moments. Like, real talk, how did our elders expect us to navigate racial stuff we ain’t never experienced before just on the strength?! I think they thought the world would be better for us, then thought us foolish for believing it might be.
