big fan of the writing and main character, not a fan of affair being whole plot for 370 pages. unfortunately it really does take 20 somethings that long to figure out a boring old man is not for them though, so maybe madeleine gray is just onto something.

I don’t get the hype around this book. While it’s well researched, it feels like the purpose of this book is the author being self congratulatory and missing the ability to empathize with his patients. The stories he describes feel removed and often gloss over details or any resolution other than “and with my great therapy I fixed them!”. can’t say I recommend
