I'm going to pause right here. While the writing is excellent, this book is not for me. I'm totally confused about what's going on. This is my first book by this author and may not have been the best one to start with. I'll try one of her other books to see if it's her writing or the stories that I struggle with.

Still trying to figure out how this is a thriller after 42%. This is more of a psychological suspense/romance/politically motivated/nonsensical fiction but a thriller it is not. The authors depiction of Brooklyn is so unrealistic I forgot the setting was NY. I’m so close to adding this to my dnf file but trying to push through.

Dawn Marie is 46% done with Moonlight Scandals (de Vincent, #3)

I was enjoying this book in the beginning but now it’s just dragging. I’m at 46% and still have 7 hours left. Why? Not really feeling the MCs as love interests. There relationship feels forced, there’s no real connection between them. Let’s see if I make it to the end.
