Chapter 16 for instance begins with innuendo banter about doing it too soon and they should have waited. I didn’t hear you complaining, you seemed pretty pleased…..and somehow that conversation was about them driving with a map and getting lost. The author has dialog and comebacks and banter she wants in the book and the works the book around it. And it rarely works.
