Went from "darkly whimsically" to "physically making me recoil" real fast

I've never seen a 2-page footnote before

I'm liking Wallace's hyper-digressive and scatterbrained footnotes within footnotes. The gonzo-surrealism bordering on magical realism is also something to behold

I can't tell if I'm going to love or hate Wallace's sense of humour.

Negative thoughts I've had so far
-Arendt's sarcasm is occasionally confusing
-Banality is an interesting idea, but possibly less applicable to Eichmann
-Some of the explanations for the divergent trajectories of the Holocaust between different European countries feels a bit hand-wavy
