Wow, that got really dark and violent fast. Definitely need a break for some lighter fare before the last FIVE HUNDRED pages

Needed something that would keep my attention during a long drive. The Emily Henry/Julia Whalen combo never disappoints

Howwwwww does this have such a high rating. The characters are all insufferable and the dialogue is not good

it’s just too dark. Not the witchcraft, but the house of young pregnant girls and all the horrible ways they became pregnant and what they’re forced to go through now.

Reading in real time with a friend who’s never read it and i’m remembering how wild the story development is 😍

The loathed, forgotten hand goblin son suddenly becomes emperor (this is in the first page, not a spoiler) and after that it’s just him learning what it means to be emperor and I am RIVETED

Gargoyle is such an unexpectedly delightful character 😆

I’ve been reading this series for a period of FIFTEEN YEARS and each book was well over 1000 pages and i’m honestly forgetting everything that happened. It’s like a fuzzy memory from
high school, which is kinda great but also not great for a book series 🤣
