The rhyming is getting annoying, and so is the constant reminder of what cards do what and degeneration. I feel like hades screaming “I got it, I get the concept”…. Other than I’m enjoying the story. If all goes well I’ll probably give it a 3.5 and read the second book

I wish she didn’t accept it being “magic” so fast. Maybe more of a haunting and then finding out about magic. Idk maybe I should’ve read the synopsis instead of going in blind

Ugh the writing ruins it sometimes. Was this the first book she wrote? Reminds me of the dark tower, how the first book even King dislikes it bc he wrote when he was young

Torn because it’s a good book but I don’t think she knows how to articulate herself well. She rambles on during certain chapters, repeating herself constantly. Other chapters are really short almost like she doesn’t have a clear grasp on the subject.

Honestly surprised by some of the women in here that victim blame. Pelosi? Whoopi?
