Like most Fiona Davis books, this one takes plays during different timelines, and one includes New York City. I liked this one a little more than the others because of the Ancient Egyptian theme. But still, the pacing slowed in places that were unnecessary.

DNF 42% this book is about as subtle as a cannonball. It’s ironic that the main character writes a book that her editor finds meandering and pointless, because that’s exactly how I felt attempting the first half of this book.
