Sanderson needs a storming editor.

Faster-paced--and smuttier--than any other book in the series.

There'd better be a lot of plot development in the second half of this thing.

Surprised/delighted to see that DFW is a fan of David Lynch. I don't know if the reverse is/was true but their work certain revolves around some of the same moods & themes.

Seriously, 25% of the narrative is melodramatic foreshadowing.

Who would have expected that the title for an author's biography would be pulled from a short chapter that is otherwise filled almost entirely with a list of the order in which people turned pages in a quiet room?

That awkward moment 20% of the way through when the author breaks the fourth wall and tells you that you're not actually reading fiction.

Putting characters in constant peril is such a transparent way of creating tension, but it's also extremely effective. *flips pages madly*

800 pages in is an excellent time to actually explain the title of the book.

The prose is scintillating, but it is also unending.
