First time reading Ms. Reid. Hard science fiction, romantic though. I'm enjoying the read, but I'm not an astrophysics nerd. A reviewer was very disparaging on this point alone, but it seems errors in detail were overwhelming. I didn't see that, the story & character development were most attractive.

Truly excellent expository writing. This would be my choice of texts to use to teach writing. Let alone the content, and the content is beyond excellent.

Interesting so far. Not much detail on the invaders or the Chinese mechs yet. The story is in first person, like the third one in a row for me, I think I'm getting to be okay with it. I was not a fan previously.
