Just got through the first few chapters and pleased to see some resolution of cliffhangers from book two. Plot is moving along at a fair pace, although the hero still has some trouble figuring out which one of the ladies he really wants.

Hough seems to be following the same formula that he used in the first book of the series. Plot moving along at a good pace, although the shifts between the minor story lines feels choppy.

Got to chapter 24 of the audio book version before I set it aside. May try to get a hard copy or ebook version of it and give it another try. To characterize it as a tough listen is an understatement.

Listening to the audio book version and just finished chapter 9. Although the generous use of profanity and frequent f-bombs are quite distracting, Lawson paints an interesting picture of the dysfunctional aspects of the federal government.

On chapter 16 and not sure where this plot is going. Setting it aside for now. May come back to it on my days off.

Two chapters done and Barrett seems stuck in a rut with how she portrays the sisters. Sibling rivalry is understandable, but it comes off overdone.

Although I still put this in the tough read catrgory, it's one that I can pick up to read a chapter or two then set aside for later. Still not sure where it rates overall.

Not an easy read, if what I have read so far is any indication. However, given the subjects covered, I didn't think it would be light reading.

Although a little wordy at times, it's been an easier read than some of the other books I've read recently. Hopefully, Barrett will be another author that I can recommend without qualifiers.

Plot developing at a faster pace than the other two titles in this series. Still waiting to see if Walsh avoids being predictable in character development.

Just started. Hope that Walsh does better on this one than he did on the others in this series.

Still trying to figure out if Walsh has found his own voice. He has the majority of this book to figure it out, In my opinion. Why do some writers think they have to be the latest incarnation of Clancy or King to be successful?
