Maybe it's my headspace, but this anthology feels a lot less good-natured than its successor, Disquiet, Please! I am not 100% sure I'm going to finish it right now.

LOL I am not smart enough to be reading this book, but I am going to keep pretending I am for a while.

I will probably have to take this book back to the library before I finish it but if I could have read even 10 pages of it when I was 17 or 18 years old, IT WOULD HAVE CHANGED EVERYTHING.

I had forgotten how much Lord Peter loves his mummy. Also how much he is able, under the guise of being eccentric and flippant, to constantly tell his manservant and his BFF Parker, "I LURVE YOU GUYS." Although honestly I shouldn't have forgotten any of this because that stuff is the main reason I like the Lord Peter books. Oh yeah, and there was like a mystery or a crime or something.

I read this once a while ago, but I need some mental comfort food right now for various reasons.

This is a really good book that I am not going to be able to finish because it's too dang sad.

I only look at GoodReads about once a month. Right now I'm amazed by Wesley Stace's Misfortune.
